IntroductionThis SmarTire Pressure Monitoring System with Full Function Remote Display gives the driver detailed information about his or her tires. The "read-at-a-glance" LCD Display allows SmarTire Tire Pressure Monitoring System’s capabilities to be custom programmed. Each axle’s recommended cold tire inflation pressure, pressure deviation alert (default is ±5 psi), low pressure warning, and high air temperature alert (default is 176° F), can be custom programmed. Three levels of warning are provided including an audible and visual indication of a deviation from required pressure, a significant drop in tire pressure levels and, excessively high temperature.
Click here for more detailed information on Full Function Display alerts. If a tire’s air pressure drops below the programmed value, the LCD display will identify the problem tire. The vehicle can be pulled to a safe location and the highlighted tire on the LCD display can be inspected.
How It Works
The wireless tire pressure sensors are mounted on your wheels, inside your tires, using the included mounting straps (each sensor weighs only 1.5 oz). These sensors send pressure and temperature data via a digitally encoded, wireless signal to the receiver’s antenna(s) mounted magnetically, under your vehicle. The sensors/transmitters are equipped with motion detectors that turns off data transmission to prolong their lithium batteries' life (estimated at more than 7 years of normal vehicle use).
RequirementsThis system is compatible with wheels 13 to 22 inches in diameter.
WarrantySmarTire Tire RV Pressure Monitoring Systems are backed by a two-year/unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty.
